The Blue Warrior

This work is just a pretext to study some problems like rigging, cloth deformation, human muscle, HDRI lighting and composition. This model is created entirely with 3ds max and the texture was hand painted in Photoshop.The background is inspired by the great work of HR Giger.

Shinochi

This work is inspired by a sculpture made by Takashi Murakami named Inochi. In replica, I modeled a match for Murakami’s boy and I gave her the name Shinochi. This is a kind of hybrid being of the future and we can see Shinochi as an android Eve…

Under Pressure

The modeling was done entirely with 3ds max, by using polygons. The textures, including the label, were made in Photoshop handpainting. The lighting does not contain any special light and was obtained only with a HDRI. The final render was slightly adjusted with Photoshop. The character represents the ordinary man who can only protect himself from daily pressure and stress by wearing a protection suit. Nevertheless, everyone breaks down once in a while…

Fluid Inspiration

The main idea is that inspiration is like a fluid that floats in the air, a substance that can be smelled, tasted and seen. It is easier than air and might be flowing as water, easily vanishing.

What is Wrong with Me

I created this image after a wonderfull oil painting of Ralph Goings with name “Waldorf Restaurant”, painted in 1976. My work was modeled in 3ds max with polygons in aproximative 8 hours and texturing in 5 hours… Rendering took 30 minutes with Vray. I try to reconstruct the perspective and the strange light…

Oneiric Objects

This is a collection of strange objects. This project aims at changing the appearance of real objects: a portable player becomes a bone structure encompassing a small piano, a traditional gas lamp can function with a light bulb, the glass has a lid like other kitchen objects and a computer can be a hybrid between a typewriter and a cathode ray tube.

Papilio Vertebralis

Papilio Vertebratus is a big butterfly with a wingspan of about 7-8 inch. The male have vivid colours and longer body like a bone tail. This is very similar with human vertebral column.

It’s a low poly character modeled for the game. I am responsible for the concept and the modeling / texturing. The texture is created using personal photo references.
